PROJECT R32 - TRACKING 01/05/02 - As the car has a small tendency to 'pull' left, it went in for a tracking check at Discount Tyre Direct of Worthing and only 5mins from home too :-), they have got the latest bit of alignment kit (a Hunter DPS400 digital imaging alignment thingy, from the USA) and costing a cool £30,000 !!, which comes with a database of virtually every car in the world !!, now that's huge :-), also they get my prize for the tidiest garage in the South....
.... the technician said that as the car has been lowered it will be difficult to eliminate entirely, but after some adjustment to the front and rear Toe it has improved considerably :-). However no adjustments are available on the car for Caster or Camber so figures just recorded, but nothing seemed to be 'badly' out....
Update (02/05/02) - One to make the Aussie lads feel at home :-), popped in again today and took a couple of pics of their kit and couldn't resist taking a shot of this tasty looking Holden GTS, spoke to the owner, he said it's good in straight line with loads of torque, but round the twisty bits he was having a few handling problems, he hoped just tracking.... He also owns a Dodge Viper GTS, so all he needs now is a Skyline GTS, for the full set :-). If that were not enough for one man he was also telling he how his Honda NSX was 'chewing' front tyres around every 4000mls !!, seems he's must be a regular at Discount Tyre then...
